TheatreKidz Rowley is a children's theatre group, which started in January 2017, giving children the opportunity to learn theatre skills and develop their confidence. We focus on drama, singing, and dancing, giving children the opportunity to experience what it is like to perform as part of a theatre group.

Since we opened our doors, we have performed several productions, including 'Once Upon a Time' (based on Snow White), which was performed at Netherton Arts Centre in January 2018 and Rags to Riches (based on Cinderella), which was performed in January 2019. Our next production, 'Got a Clue?' was written by our own Director and was performed in January 2020.

After Covid restricted us from performing our July 2020 show, we finally made it back to the stage on 30th January 2022 with our performance of Snow White! This was then followed with our June 2022 production, February 2023 production and July 2023 production, AmaZing!

January 2024 saw our first full scale musical, Chitty Chitty Bang Bang, which we performed to sell out audiences. This was then followed by TheatreKidz Rewind, a look back at the last 8 years of TheatreKidz, which we performed in July 2024, and then, Search for a Star, written by our very own director, Lucy, which was performed in February 2025. Our production Curtain Call was performed in July 2025 and we have lots of exciting productions coming up!

Our members come from the many of the surrounding areas, including Rowley Regis, Dudley, Halesowen, Blackheath, Oldbury, Cradley, and Smethwick to name but a few. 

Not only have our members learned new skills since being with us, but we have also seen them develop new friendships and grow in confidence. Most importantly, we have fun and the children thoroughly enjoy their time with us.

After opening spaces on Saturday 6th September 2025, we had several new TheatreKidz join us, which means we are once again full. We will now open a new waiting list!
